Not an original Porsche item but can be useful when assembling cars and the body work is finalised.
The door latch receptacle can sometimes be positioned too far away from the door. This is the result of the lock post panel being too far back and these shims can be used to place under the door latch receptacle to project it further forward to nicely align it to the door catch.
When this adjustment is not done correctly, Porsche 356 doors can sometimes swing open while travelling.
